Getting business onboard is vital
It is clear that government action alone is not enough to stop climate change. Governments need cooperation especially from business - and business needs to stop obstructing climate action.

You would think that businesses would be keen to respond to climate change, as climate chaos poses an existential risk to the economy. Also, there are huge commercial opportunities for those at the forefront of transition to a low carbon world. However, much of business has shown little interest in taking serious steps towards transformation and this is particularly true of the largest and most polluting businesses. Meanwhile many of the attempts of businesses trying to improve their environmental profile are inadequate and seen as greenwash.

So why has the business sector failed to respond? Why have investors continued to support businesses that will destroy the economy and governments have failed to take enough action. There are reasons. And there are now plans being hatched to divert the trillions of dollars of investment money to help solve the climate crisis in both developed and developing economies.
